yoga class, hoop class, hoop workshops [Oct. 30th, 2008|09:33 am]

There's a hoop class beginning next Wednesday at MCTC, from 6-6:45pm, 11/5-12/17. It's the perfect time to register, and you can do it here:

MCTC Hooping Class

I also teach a yoga class at MCTC on Wednesday evenings, directly after the hooping, from 7-8pm. It's a lovely combination, and it's a slow-flow class that will take your swirling, whirling hoop-energy and focus it beautifully into strength, balance, and a peaceful mind. You can register for yoga here:

MCTC Yoga Class

Also, this Sunday, November 2, I'll be holding a Beginning Hoop Workshop from 6-8pm at Kuk Sool Won Dojang in St. Paul.

The cost is $45 for this workshop, and no prior skills are needed. Please tell friends, bring friends! I provide the hoops and music, and you simply come dressed to move and stay hydrated.

Finally, there is an Intermediate/Advanced Hoop Workshop on Sunday, November 16th from 6-8pm at Kuk Sool Won Dojang in St. Paul.

The cost is $55 for this workshop, and it will help if you are able to chest hoop in one direction prior to this workshop. If you have taken a beginner course, you are most likely ready, because you are welcome to work on as many or as few intermediate tricks as you'd like. I'll teach step-throughs, jump-throughs, flows, continual lifts, kick-starts, and some basic choreography, in addition to chest- and arm-movements.

Hi-

Want to take a nice, slow, beginning yoga class? Not a wussy one, but not a power yoga class, either. Emphasis on breathing, strength, balance, and flexibility, working our way up slowly and gently. A kind class, not a boot camp. I'm certified and friendly, and I've been teaching for ...5 years, I think.

Tell your friends...we've got a nice, big room, so we may as well fill it.

Beginning Slow-Flow Hatha Yoga
MCTC
Wednesdays from 7-8pm
9/17-10/29

Also, I teach a hooping class right before the yoga class. It's a beginner class, too, and a ton of fun. I provide the hoops and hot music, you come for the fun and awesome ab-workout.

Myself and the other folks at the Book House in Dinkytown, Minneapolis, MN would like to invite you all to check out our "found in a book" journal. We've got a few items up at the moment, and a couple decades worth of material waiting to be posted. We hope to have around 2-3 updates per week, with scans and as much background info as we can get (book title, etc).

Pictures, notes, and other interesting detritus that have found their way into our store, secreted away between pages.

x-posted to a couple other similar journals.
